Who is she?

Meg Whitman is known as a woman who gets whatever she desires. She is renowned as one of the most influential women in the world and became a member of some of the wealthiest business ladies in the world, but this success did not just occur by chance.

Despite her ambition of becoming a doctor, Meg decided this was not her purpose. She left Princeton University and decided to choose a career in economics. Riskily, she took a turn in her life and attended the Harvard Business School. She lamented on her terrible experience there. The competition was too strenuous and the course too complicated, but she decided to keep pushing because she knew her purpose.

Before resuming work at eBay, Meg had already worked as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble. She also had the experience of working for eight years at the Bales & Company consulting company, where she held the position of general vice president of marketing at Walt Disney’s Consumer Products Department. In 1992, she received an invitation to work from the manufacturer of Stride Rite Shoes. The brand had started to become a failing brain. This businesswoman was not frightened by this and successfully revived the company.

As a real fairy, she strengthened a company and saved another from shutting down. After four years, she took control of one of the world’s largest flower to deliver companies known as Florists Transworld Delivery (FTD). Meg was able to save this company from a crisis by successfully implementing a business strategy and implementing it. Surely, Meg’s competent approach as a manager made it very profitable.

In 1997, Whitman began work at Hasbro, a manufacturer of child stores, and worked there for a year. Pierre Omidyar was the one, who approached her with a job offer and changed her business plans.

Working at eBay

Pierre belonged to a modest internet company known as eBay. As at then, the turnover of eBay was about $5.7 million and had 30 members of staff. Pierre was in need of a good manager. By that time, Mag was in charge of the department of the large corporation and controlled about 600 members of staff. However, after persuasion, Meg took charge of eBay and made it a worthwhile choice.

Since Margaret Whitman took charge and became SEO president of eBay, the online company began to grow. She changed everything about the company. The ten years she spent at eBay caused a lot of changes. She enhanced an excellent customer relationship for the company. Also, she invited a lot of professionals and offered them lucrative salaries. Moreover, she successfully acquired valuable assets and concluded several deals. The results of these changes were not far-fetched. eBay’s sales volumes increased from several million to several billion, and it has many auction users about 200 million people.

Guess what? The world changes. eBay has defined e-commerce. Meg Whitman

Meg Whitman is a clear example of the fact that risk-taking is profitable. She recently left her post in eBay to create space for younger people and moved into politics. This woman has proven that it is vital not to be afraid of changes and trust personal instincts.
